Communities of Practice

A community of practice (CoP) is a network of people who work in a related field and come together to support each other, collaborate, and share techniques and advice. It can be defined as ‘a group of people who perform similar functions and share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly’ (Wenger-Trayner, 1996).
